چکیده
Kruppel-like factor 4 (Klf4) is a member of the KLF family of transcription factors and regulates proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and somatic cell reprogramming. In embryonic stem (ES) cells, Klf4 can be a good indicator of stem-like capacity. Klf4 is a 55 kD transcription factor containing three zinc finger domains. Klf4 binds the CACCC core sequence at multiple sites in the 5’ flanking region of the gene and can activate its transcription. It interacts with the c-terminal domain of MUC1 to enhance the suppression of TP53/p53 transcription. The Klf4 gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, and frog, etc. [Ma H, Young M. Klf4 and stem cell literatures. Kruppel - like factor 4 ( KLF 4 ) and cancer literatures
Kruppel-like factor 4 (KLF4) is a member of the KLF family of transcription factors and regulates proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and somatic cell reprogramming. KLF4 is also a tumor suppressor in certain cancers. KLF4 can be an indicator of stem-like capacity in embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), etc. The KLF4 gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey...
متن کاملKrüppel-like factor 9 is necessary for late-phase neuronal maturation in the developing dentate gyrus and during adult hippocampal neurogenesis.
The dentate gyrus (DG) is modified throughout life by integration of new adult-born neurons. Similarities in neuronal maturation during DG development and adult hippocampal neurogenesis suggest that genetically encoded intrinsic regulatory mechanisms underlying these temporally distinct processes are conserved and reused. Here, we identify a novel transcriptional regulator of dentate granule ne...
